How long does the Divemaster course take?

It varies based on your schedule and current skill level, but most students complete the course over several weeks to a few months. We work around your availability and build a schedule that makes sense for you.

Do I need 40 dives before I can start?

Yes — 40 logged dives is the minimum requirement. If you're not there yet, we can help you build your dive log through our lake days, pool sessions, and dive trips.

Can I work as a Divemaster after certification?

Yes — your SDI Divemaster certification is recognized internationally. Dive shops, liveaboards, and resorts around the world hire certified Divemasters. It opens real doors in the industry.

What comes after Divemaster?

The SDI Instructor Development Course (IDC) — which qualifies you to teach your own Open Water students and beyond. Our Go Pro Program takes you all the way from Open Water to Instructor in one comprehensive path.
