Meet the Team

Brady Huddleston is an experienced scuba educator and professional diver-wrangler who has trained everyone from wide-eyed first-time students to full-blown dive pros who now pretend they “always knew how to clear a mask.” As an SDI Course Director & Instructor Trainer and PADI IDC Staff Instructor, Brady has worked with just about every learning style on the planet— including the “I swear I’m not sinking, the bottom is just rising” type.

Brady first caught the diving bug early on, back when he was still trying to remember which way his wetsuit zipped and why fish kept giving him side-eye. Learning under instructors with wildly different teaching styles helped mold him into the calm, patient, safety-obsessed educator he is today (even when students surface upside-down or swear their fins are plotting against them).

Known for his relaxed teaching vibe, ocean-dad energy, and ability to explain skills without making anyone feel like a confused sea cucumber, Brady is dedicated to helping every diver succeed at their own pace. Whether he’s guiding new students, mentoring future instructors, or convincing someone that yes, you can breathe underwater, he’s always focused on building confident, capable divers—one perfectly executed mask-clear at a time.

With over 3 years of experience beneath the surface, Andrew Wilhelm has made it his mission to share the adventure and serenity of scuba diving with students across Central Texas. Certified as an SDI Instructor, Andrew has logged more than 300 dives in locations ranging from the vibrant reefs of the Costa Maya to the crystal-clear springs of the Hill Country.

I love to share experiences and help others to know why I love diving.  My teaching style is focused on explaining the “why’s” and safety. My goal is to help every diver — from curious beginners to advanced explorers — feel confident and connected underwater. I teach year-round at Spring Lake and other Texas dive sites.

When I am not in my wetsuit, I volunteer with local conservation groups, participate in lake cleanups, and enjoy golf and motorcycle riding.  My wife and I like to travel and find new places to dive. She is a Divemaster and participates with me all the time.  To me, every dive is a chance to explore, learn, and protect the world beneath the waves.

Ashleigh Sanchez spontaneously took up diving when a stranger in a wetsuit  grabbed her arm and promised her the adventure of a lifetime while she was taking an evening stroll along the Mediterranean coast. The moment she realized there was an unexplored alien world beneath the waves she was hooked. Ashleigh loves people, nature, and adventure, which is why she is passionate about helping others discover the incredible sport of scuba diving. She draws from her background as an educator and philanthropist to adapt and respond to each individual's needs in a unique way , whether that be the instructor she is assisting or a student in need of encouragement. She's often heard telling students that "Diving is 10% skill and 90% mental" and she loves to help students confront and overcome challenges like fear and anxiety, grow in confidence and skill, and achieve their personal goals. Ashleigh sees Texas Scuba Academy as her family and strives to bring positive energy, hard work, creative problem solving and a zeal for life to her team.

Luis Espinoza is a committed diver climbing the ranks from rookie bubble-blower to “future ruler of the sea,” despite the fact that he still needs three attempts to put on his fins correctly. Marine life has mixed reviews: the dolphins are undecided, the turtles are skeptical, and the fish mostly follow him around because they think he’s dropping snacks. His buoyancy is “pretty good,” if you ignore the brief moments where he drifts upward like a confused helium balloon. Still, Luis dives with enthusiasm, questionable grace, and the confidence of someone who truly believes the ocean will one day bow to him—right after he stops kicking the sand up like a toddler at the beach.

Introducing Rendall Irwin, the old man of the sea. Rendall’s diving style is a slow steady pace with massive air consumption. He likes to give his regulator a full work out and frequently laments on the top side that his air tank is just not big enough. This Triton was first NAUI certified in 1979 and then crossed over to PADI in 2021.

He received his PADI Divemaster certification in 2024. Above all, he loves to help others explore the fascinating world below the surface. With the patience of Job, a safety-first mindset, and a teacher’s heart, his addiction to scuba diving makes him an excellent instructor.  He can show you how scuba really is for everyone regardless of shape, size, or disability. Rendall believes the best dives aren’t rushed—they’re relaxed, well planned, and full of wonder.

Rendall guides divers toward calm buoyancy, efficient breathing, and confident skills. He’s passionate about accessibility and welcomes divers of all shapes, sizes, and abilities. From first fin kicks to refreshing rusty skills, he meets each diver where they are and supports them at their pace.

Expect genuine encouragement, clear briefings, and a watchful buddy who’s always thinking ahead. Whether you’re trying scuba for the first time, polishing fundamentals, or simply looking for a steady leader to show you something new, Rendall makes diving fun, inclusive, and safe.

Michael is a native New Yorker, middle school teacher and athletic Coach.  He is determined to search the Caribbean until he finds gold from a sunken Spanish galleon, but will always make time to play with the dolphins. He is currently looking to add whale sharks and orcas to his list of deep blue friends, and help as many people as possible to enjoy life under the sea.

Tom is an educator specializing in engineering and robotics, bringing his passion for problem-solving and exploration into the underwater world. With over 130 logged dives, he enjoys helping others grow their skills and confidence while discovering the beauty of scuba diving.
