This course builds on prior certification and experience — here's what you'll need before you start.

Rescue certificationPADI Rescue Diver or Junior Rescue Diver (or equivalent), which itself requires current Emergency First Response (EFR) Primary and Secondary Care training within the last 24 months

Master Scuba Diver is a rating you qualify for once you've completed Advanced Open Water, Rescue Diver, current EFR training, 5 specialties, and logged 50 dives.
