Who it's for

This course builds on prior certification and experience — here's what you'll need before you start.

Minimum age12 years old
Core certificationsPADI Open Water Diver and Advanced Open Water Diver (or qualifying certifications from another agency)
Rescue certificationPADI Rescue Diver or Junior Rescue Diver (or equivalent), which itself requires current Emergency First Response (EFR) Primary and Secondary Care training within the last 24 months
Specialty courses5 completed PADI Specialty Diver certifications (must be issued through PADI, even if OW/AOW/Rescue came from another agency)
Dive experienceAt least 50 logged dives
