What you'll learn

What You Can Expect to Learn

✓History of Enriched Air Nitrox (EAN)
✓Physiology of oxygen and nitrogen
✓Equipment considerations for mixes below and above 40% oxygen
✓Dive computers: mix-adjustable, air-integrated, and nitrox-programmable models
✓Advantages and disadvantages: extending no-decompression time, oxygen toxicity hazards and depth limits, and myths/facts about EAN
✓Equivalent Air Depth (EAD), oxygen analyzer use, gas analysis and logging, and completing fill station EAN logs

Computer Nitrox Diver Requirements

✓Score at least 80% on the Knowledge Quest or online final exam, with full remediation
✓Analyze at least 2 nitrox cylinders and label them per local practices/regulations
✓Log at least 1 nitrox cylinder analysis, including MOD and oxygen content
✓Program a nitrox computer with a mix between 22-40% oxygen
✓Training is academic only; no dives are required for this certification
