What you'll learn

Knowledge Development

✓Navigation: compass use, estimating distances, and natural navigation
✓Limited visibility diving: factors affecting visibility, hazards, and diving techniques
✓Search techniques: shotgun, circular, grid, and current (overlap) search, plus signals for search diving
✓Salvage techniques: depth considerations, lift bags, lifting drums, necessary qualities of lifting devices, knots and rigging, fill techniques, and mud/silt suction considerations

Practical Training

✓Reviewing compass techniques and search techniques
✓Practicing and performing different search patterns and lifting techniques
✓Recovering an object from depth
✓Salvage and recovery of an object with a water weight between 11 and 33 kg/25 and 75 lbs
✓Simulating a scuba emergency using a minimum of 2 searching techniques
✓Logging dives
