This course builds on prior certification and experience — here's what you'll need before you start.

Any prior Open Water certification (SDI or another agency)This program is for certified divers who haven't been in the water for a while.

✓Dive Planning: refresh core dive-planning skills, equalization techniques, and underwater communication signals.

✓Lung Over-Expansion & Safety: review the risks of lung over-expansion problems and how to prevent them.

✓Dive Computer Use: reacquaint yourself with reading and checking your dive computer before and during a dive.

✓Gear Handling: practice scuba system assembly and disassembly, weight adjustment, and mask defogging.

✓Core Water Skills: refresh regulator clearing and recovery, mask clearing, fin use, and buoyancy control and hovering.

✓Ascents, Descents & Emergencies: review controlled descents and ascents, air-sharing procedures, and underwater emergency scenarios.
